1 Cup Shortening
3 ½ Cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
⅔ Cup milk
4 ½ Cups flour
½ Cup cocoa
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 Cup nut (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add milk
Sift together dry ingredients and add to mixture in small portions.
Add nuts.
Chill dough. Drop by teaspoons into powdered sugar
and place on greased and floured cookie sheet.
Bake at 375° in oven for 10 minutes.
