3/4 cup of sesame seeds
6 tablespoons of butter
3/4 cup of packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of salt
pinch of baking powder
2/3 cup of all-purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Toast sesame seeds in a large skillet over medium heat, stir constantly, until golden for 7 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and let cool completely.
Beat the butter and brown sugar in a large bowl with mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy (3 to 5 minutes). Add salt, egg, vanilla, and baking powder. Beat until combined, scraping as needed. Reduce the mixer speed to low and add flour and 1/4 cup of sesame seeds, beating until combined. Cover and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
Line baking sheets with parchment and butter. Drop by teaspoon into remaining 1/2 cup of toasted sesame seeds. Roll around and press seeds into dough. Arrange 2 inches apart on sheet and bake, turning 1/2 way through baking. Bake at 325* for 15 to 20 minutes, until edges are dark golden brown. let cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute, then carefully remove to racks to completely cool.
