1½ cup vegetable oil
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3 cups diced apples (pippin or granny smith)
1 cup pecans or walnuts
3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda

Sauce: 1 stick margarine
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together eggs, oil, sugar and vanilla. Add apples, nuts and flour, add salt and soda last, dough will be very thick. Place in greased floured tube pan and bake approx. 55 minutes in 350 oven until tester comes out clean.

Sauce: Mix margarine, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in saucepan, Bring to boil, stir constantly until thick, pour over warm cake and let set. Enjoy!!
