1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup milk

Day 1 - Add ingredients to a glass or plastic bowl. Stir with wooden or plastic spoon. Do not use metal. Cover bowl loosely with paper towel, cloth, wax paper or plastic wrap. Do not refrigerate!!

Day 2,3 & 4 - stir mixture using wooden or plastic spoon
Day 5 - Add 1 cup milk, sugar & flour, mix w wooden spoon
Day 7, 8, 9 - stir with a wooden or plastic spoon
Day 10 - add 1 cup milk, sugar & flour. Mix w wooden spoon

*Take (3) 1-cup measurements and place in separate containers. Keep one for yourself to start again, and give the other 2 to friends.

*Add to your original starter:
3 beaten eggs
1 cup oil**
½ c. milk
1 tsp vanilla

* In a separate bowl, mix together
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 large or 2 small pkgs instant vanilla pudding
½ tsp soda
½ tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon

*Add dry ingredient to starter and blend well. Pour batter into 2 well greased loaf pans. Bake at 325° for 1 hour. Sprinkle additional cinnamon/sugar over hot loaves.

You can add just about anything to this recipe.

Banana & choc chips
Lemon pudding & poppy seeds
Blueberries

**You can substitute applesauce for oil to make a lower fat count.

Strudel - Denise
1 cup starter
2/3 c oil
1 c sugar
2 c flour
2 tsp soda
½ tsp salt
3 eggs

Strudel:
⅓ c. butter, melted
½ c. brown sugar
½ c. sugar
½ c. oats
1 ½ tsp cinnamon
1 c nuts (optional)

Pour half batter into greased & floured 9x13 pan. Sprinkle half of strudel. Pour remaining batter over top. Top with remaining strudel. Bake 350° 25 min until golden brown.
