½ c butter, melted
1 c sugar
3 Tb lemon extract
2 eggs
1 ½ c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
½ Tb grated lemon rind
½ c pecans, chopped

Lemon glaze:
¼ c lemon juice
½ c. granulated sugar
Mix until sugar is dissolved.

Prepare 24 hours in advance.

Mix flour, baking powder & salt. Add to butter mixture alternating with milk, beating just enough to blend. Fold in grated rind & nuts. Pour into greased & floured 9x5x3" pan. Bake 350° for 1 hour or until toothpick in center comes out clean. Cool 10 min. Remove from pan. Still warm - drizzle lemon glase over top and into cracks. Store, foil wrapped for 1 day before slicing.
