1 small pkg prepared green gelatin
1 small pkg prepared red gelatin

Directions:
Bake cake in 3 individual layers. Cool in pan. Poke holes in 2 of the layers with soda straws or whatever. Fill 1 layer with red gelatin and the other layer with green gelatin. Refrigerate until gelatin is set. Place green layer on serving plate. Place white layer next and red layer on top. Frost with whipped topping. Place a glitter star on top of the cake and center the #1 candle in the center of the star.
Read or say:

The shape of the cake is round for the world in which Jesus was born. The star on top reminds us of that special star that shone so long ago. The candle is in the center of the star first to remind us that Jesus is #1 in our lives. And last but not least, the three layers (cut the first piece of cake) are placed on top of the other. We remember that the foundational layer represents God the Father, the next layer represents Jesus, pure and free from sin. The top layer represents the Holy Spirit. As we enjoy the cake, let us rejoice together in the coming of the King.
