1 box Fillo dough
1 c. brown sugar
2 stick butter
1 c crushed nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and coat large baking dish with pastry brush. Roll out Fillo dough, cover with plastic wrap and damp towel to keep moist while preparing. Carefully separate 1 sheet and place in buttered pan. Butter pastry sheet with brush and repeat until 15 layers are in pan. Sprinkle crushed nuts and then a good layer of brown sugar. Cover with pastry sheet and butter with brush. Repeat this process for another 15 layers. Bake at 350 until golden brown. While still warm, prepare syrup and pour over entire pastry.

Syrup:
1 stick butter
2 c sugar
water to thin

In saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter. Add sugar and water. Bring to simmer. Continue to boil syrup consistently. Pour over Baklava. Cut into diamond shapes. Better when served warm.
