1 medium head of Romaine and iceberg lettuces (shredded)
6 tablespoons white wine vinegar
teaspoon salt
teaspoon each of garlic powder and freshly ground pepper
3 tablespoons chopped chives
cup salad oil
1 large tomato, chopped
1 cups cooked chicken, diced
1 large avocado, diced and tossed with 1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 pound sliced bacon, crisply cooked, drained, and crumbled
2 hard boiled eggs, diced
3 ounces of blue or gorgonzola cheese, crumbled

Directions:
Directions:
Place lettuces in a large wide salad bowl. In a jar, combine vinegar, salt, garlic powder, pepper, chives, and oil; blend well. Pour dressing over lettuce and toss well. On top of lettuce make a layer -- tomato, chicken, avocado, bacon, eggs, arranged in separate, wedge-shaped sections. Place crumbled cheese in center. Present at the table. Note: Turkey, shrimp or crabmeat can be substituted for the chicken.
