To pressure cook:
4 cups of chicken broth
3 Tbsp of butter
2 tsp salt
I box (16 ounce of medium shells macaroni)

After cooking:
~1 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (to taste).
3 oz cream cheese
~2 cups shredded cheese (to taste).
We like an even mix of Colby Jack and Extra Sharp Cheddar.
Directions:
Directions:
In the instant pot, place the macaroni, broth, salt and butter.
Place lid on top and close the vent.
Set instant pot on manual high pressure for 4 minutes.
Manually release pressure (quick release).
After cooking, take lid off, set pot on saute and add heavy cream, and stir.
Sowly add cream cheese and cheese mixture as it melts! Enjoy!

We like to serve this as a mac-n-cheese bar with toppings. Favorite toppings include
Bacon, Hot dogs, Ground beef, Shrimp
Chives, dill, basil, or other fresh herbs
Hot sauce, BBQ sauce, etc
Sour cream, Bread crumbs, or anything else that sounds good!

Quick and easy meal! Just as fast as a box because you don't need to boil the pasta first but SO much better. Grandkid approved.

Be sure to grate your own cheese. Pre-grated cheese contains anti caking ingredients that inhibit smooth melting.
