Cake:
1 cup brown sugar
cup butter
1 egg
2 cup flour
1 tsp soda
tsp salt
tsp vanilla
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup rhubarb or 2 cup

Topping:
cup sugar
cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
chopped nuts (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix brown sugar, egg and buttermilk. Add shortening, flour, soda, salt and vanilla. Mix in rhubarb pieces. Pour into greased 9 x 13 - inch pan.

Topping: Mix and spread on cake batter.

Bake 40 - 45 minutes at 350.
