Single Crust Pie |

Ingredients: |
Ingredients: 1 ¼ cups flour ¼ tsp salt ⅓ cup lard or shortening 4-5 Tbsp cold water

Directions: |
Directions:In a medium bowl stir together flour and salt. Using pastry blender, cut in lard until pieces are pea-size. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp of water over part of the flour mixture; gently toss with a fork. Push moistened dough to the side of the bowl. repeat moistening flour mixture 1 Tbsp at a time until all the flour is moistened. Form dough into a 1 ball for single crust, 2 balls for double crust pie. Roll dough from center to edges on a lightly floured surface. To transfer pastry, wrap it around the rolling pin and carefully unroll over pie plate. Trim pastry and crimp edges as desired. Bake as directed in individual recipes. |

Double Crust Pie |

Graham Cracker Crust |
|
Ingredients: |
Ingredients: ⅓ cup butter ¼ cup sugar 1 ¼ cups finely crushed graham crackers

Directions: |
Directions:Melt butter; stir in sugar. Add crushed crackers; toss to mix well. Spread evenly into a 9 inch pie place. Press onto bottom and sides of plate to form an even crust. Chill about 1 hour or until firm, or bake in a 375° oven for 4-5 minutes or until edge is lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack before filling. |
