1 lb. link sausage, diced into chunks
1 onion, quartered and thinly sliced
¼ butter
4 cups diced potatoes
3 cups water
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, or 2 tsp dried parsley flakes
1 tablespoon fresh basil, or 1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp salt
⅛ tsp pepper
1 15.25 ounces canned corn
1 14.75 ounces canned cream style corn
1 12ounce can of evaporated milk

Directions:

In a soup kettle or Dutch oven, brown the sausage and onion in the butter. Slowly add the potatoes, water, parsley, basil, salt and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add remaining ingredients and cook 5-10 minutes longer or until heated through.
