Amish Sugar Cookies

1 cup white sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup margarine
1 cup oil
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla
decorative sugars (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients. Drop by small balls and flatten with fork. Sprinkle with colored sugars or sprinkles, if desired. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden.
 

Erin's Sugar Cookies:

1 ⅓ cup margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
3 Tbsp milk
4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs, beat until light and fluffy. Stir in milk. Combine dry ingredients and blend into mixture with a spoon. Chill 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375. Roll to inch thick and cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 7 minutes. Do not over bake or roll too thin.
 

Crispy Rolled Sugar Cookies

1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp cream or milk
1 cups flour
tsp vanilla
tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder

Directions:

Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Chill dough thoroughly; roll to inch and cut into desired shapes. Bake in a 350 oven until golden brown.
