1 c. cake flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. egg whites
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and 3/4 cup of sugar (4 times). Beat egg whites with salt until stiff. Add cream of tartar. Beat again. Add remaining sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, fold in thoroughly. Add vanilla. Sift or spoon flour mixture over top a small amount at a time, fold in lightly. Pour into ungreased angel food cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. . I cook mine on 315 degrees for about 35 to 40 minutes.
