1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1-1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening. Add sugar and beat well. Beat in egg until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Stir in remaining dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Roll out on floured board and cut with cookie cutter. Bake at 400º for about 6 minutes or until cookies are very lightly browned.
