Salisbury Steak Recipe

1 # hamburger
¼ cup finely chopped green pepper
½ cup finely chopped onion
1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 egg
1 T. Worchester sauce




Mushroom sauce:
14 oz. can beef broth
1/3 cup flour
2 t. beef bouillion granules
pepper
4 oz. can drained sliced mushrooms

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the hamburger with the rest of the ingredients. Mix it well. Divide the hamburger into 4 oval- shaped patties.
Sear patties (about 3 min. each side).
Put into 8 x 8 pan and cover with mushroom sauce.
Bake 325 for about 45 min.


Mushroom sauce:
Combine the beef broth and the flour in a shaker bottle and shake well to remove lumps.
Heat and stir in med. size kettle until thick. Stir in the bouillon, pepper and drained mushrooms.
Pour over Salisbury steaks before baking.
