16 oz. cod or haddock
6 potatoes
3 carrots
1 lg. onion
4 slices bacon
1 8 oz. clam juice
1 bay leaf
1/2 c. parsley
2 c. half and half cream
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon until crisp and drain. Cook onion until tender. Add potatoes, carrots, juice, water, salt and bay leaf. Heat to a boil. Cook until tender, add fish and parsley. Heat to boiling. Simmer for 10 minutes. Cook until fish flakes. Crumble bacon and add to soup. Add cream and heat hot, but don't boil.
