2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup buttermilk
⅔ cup shortening
2 eggs

Topping-Blend together:
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. nutmeg (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except topping. Mix until moistened; then beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Grease and flour bottom only of a 9x13-inch pan. Pour in batter and sprinkle on topping. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bake at 350º for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
