1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 - 3/4 c. salsa
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 T. yellow mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the hamburger and the onions until no pink shows.

Drain on a paper towell. Return to skillet. Stir in the salsa, mustard and tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper if needed. Now the secret.......turn the heat to low, cover the pan and let it simmer for 45-60 minutes. Check it often. Add water if necessary. Serve on hamburger buns.

After making sloppy joe for years, it dawned on me one day that salsa had all of the ingredients I needed already chopped and prepared. It makes an easy preparation and is always good.
