1 cup butter
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sour cream

Frosting:
1 cup butter
6 tablespoons cream
4 1/2 cups icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat butter and water in a large saucepan over medium low heat, until butter is melted. Remove from heat. Stir in the sugar, flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in the sour cream, and mix until blended. Pour the batter into a well greased cookie sheet, and bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until the cake tests done.

Remove cake from oven, and cool slightly.

Put the butter and cream into a medium saucepan. Heat until butter is melted, and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat, and stir in the icing sugar, vanilla, and salt. Whisk until completely smooth. Spread over cake.
