1 cup cubed ham
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Generous sprinkling of freshly ground pepper
2 cups prepared waffle batter
Cooking spray
Maple syrup, for serving

Directions:
Directions:
Fold the ham, cheese and pepper into the prepared waffle batter in a large bowl.

Preheat a waffle iron and coat with cooking spray. Pour some batter into the waffle iron, spreading it into the corners. Close the lid and leave it closed until the waffles are cooked through and golden brown in spots, 6 to 8 minutes. Continue until all the batter has been used.

Cut the waffles into sticks, transfer to plates and serve with maple syrup
