"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1lb. Lean Ground Beef
Frozen or fresh (never canned) Carrots, Green Beans, any type of bean and or pea (la, blackeyes, etc.)
Brown Rice
A pinch of Garlic powder
If your dog needs more protein, you can add 1 egg as well.

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 325°
Pulverize veggies in a food processor until super chopped up.
Cook rice and let cool
Mix the veggies, rice, garlic powder, ground beef and egg if you use one. Form meatballs (small for toy dogs) and place on a cookie grid.
Once all the meatballs are made put grid over a cookie sheet so the grease drops down. Turn on your oven fan and stick cookie sheet in oven. Bake until cooked through (varies with ovens and altitude).
Once done, serve with more brown rice and little beef broth.
Your picky eater will love them and you.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Story behind the meatballs.
We adopted a rescued 17 year old Chihuahua that had been dumped in the streets of Miami, FL. We knew we wouldn't have him long, so gave him as much love as we could. He needed to put on some weight so the meatballs were born. We lost CoffeeBean three months later, but in the time we had him, he became LPD canine of the day, met Miss Florida, sat in a fire truck, ate ice cream and more. He was a special little senior.
