1 package of caramels (about 32 caramels)
2/3 cup evaporated milk, divided
3/4 cup butter
1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, melt the caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk over medium heat. Set aside. Preheat oven to 325º.
2. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add 1/3 cup evaporated milk and German chocolate cake mix. Stir to combine.
3. Pat most of the chocolate batter into a greased 9x13 inch pan. It will rise quite a bit when it is baked. Bake for 6 minutes.
4. Spread caramel mixture over top the brownies. Sprinkle the chocolate chips and nuts on top. Drop globs of the remaining chocolate batter on top of the caramel. Return to the oven and bake 18 minutes.
