1 ⅓ c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
c. shortening, melted
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T. vinegar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
tsp. salt

1 c. brown sugar, packed
⅔ c. coconut
⅔ c. nuts
lb. margarine or butter
3 T. cream

Pour boiling water over oatmeal and set aside.Mix all ingredients together and add oatmeal. Bake about 40 minutes at 350.
Mix topping ingredients and spread over hot cake. Return to oven until melted.
