1 T yeast (not rapid rise)
½ warm water
1½ tsp salt
2 cups whole milk
½ cup butter
¾ cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
5½ cups all-purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the milk and salt. Scald but do not boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

2. Mix the yeast and warm water. Add a pinch of sugar and stir. Let the yeast sit and proof for a few minutes.

3. Mix the yeast mixture, eggs, sugar, milk mixture, and flour until blended and no lumps of flour remain. Do not over mix. The dough will be sticky and very loose.

4. Let the batter/dough raise until double (about 90 minutes).

5. Preheat oven to 375º F. Spoon the dough into greased muffin tins and let it raise until double in size.

6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.

1 cube room-temperature butter
½ cup honey
¼ cup raspberry jam
1 tsp vanilla
