Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

1 whole frying chicken
2-3 quarts water
chopped or dehydrated onions
1 can beef broth
kluski noodles
chicken bouillon, if needed

Directions:
Directions:
Boil chicken and onions in water until meat is falling off the bones.

Strain broth and let chicken cool. When cool enough to touch, pick off chicken and shred into bite-sized pieces.

Cook Kluski noodles separately for about 10 minutes. Drain.

Add noodles, strained broth and chicken to pot. Add beef broth and chicken bouillon to taste. Cook for 20-30 minutes. Add celery seed.

Both grandmas had an almost identical way of making this soup. Grandma Dorothy used spaetzle or egg noodles and chopped celery. She still added a pinch of celery seed. That's the only real difference between the 2.
