6 Tbsp. butter
1 c. sliced onion
4 cubed steaks
c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
8 oz. mushrooms, drained
4 c. sliced potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
In large skillet, melt butter and saute onions until tender. Remove onions and brown steaks. Remove steaks; add flour, salt, and pepper to skillet. Remove from heat and gradually add buttermilk. Return to medium heat and cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Stir in mushrooms. In casserole dish layer potatoes, then onions, and steak. Pour sauce over all and cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 2 hours.
Add garlic to sauce if desired
