1 lb cooking apples (Granny Smith) 2 oz water ( maybe a little more 1 oz butter sugar cinnamon
Peel apples core and slice put apples in saucepan add water, cover and boil reduce heat and simmer stirring occasionally for about 15 minutes or until apples are soft and most of the water is gone mash with potato masher add cinnamon and sugar to taste
