1 can stewed tomatoes
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp apple pie spice
salt and pepper

Old-Fashioned:
½ cup chopped onion
¼ cup bell pepper
2 tbsp butter
2 cups chopped tomatoes
⅔ cup vinegar
⅔ cup sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground cloves
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté onions and pepper in butter – add tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Add spices. Simmer until thick.

You just have to have this on the fried green tomatoes (green beans or limas or anything else for that matter)!!! Big Mama made this for her family and Blue Willow Inn made a fortune with it.
