Personal Notes:
The story of ambrosia is one best told simply. It is a booger to make and we would all fight to be the one NOT to help make ambrosia. I (Georgia), being the female with the least experience (or interest, at that time) with cooking, became the “tag, you’re IT” person to peel fruit. No problem there, but you had to peel it to Mama’s specifications. Needless to say, it took a while, but the results were greatly appreciated and really looked impressive. Plus, I could say I "helped".
