½ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup butter
¼ tsp soda
2 tbsp corn syrup
¼ cup boiling water
3 cup sugar
roasted pecan halves (garnish - optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt ¼ cup sugar in a black skillet. Add boiling water ‘till lumps dissolve. Add the rest (except vanilla). Cook ‘till thickens. Remove from heat. Cool. Then beat the devil out of it!!! Add vanilla. Spread on cake before it starts to get hard. Garnish with roasted pecan halves.
