Ingredients:  
1 package Ramen noodles “oriental”
4 to 8 oz nuts – sliced almonds, pecans, walnuts
2 tbsp sesame seeds
small Vidalia onion
shredded lettuce


Dressing:
In a mixing bowl combine:
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tbsp white vinegar
½ tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
the Ramen seasoning package

Directions:
Directions:
Take the seasoning package out of the noodles and crush the noodles in small pieces. Spread the noodles, nuts and seeds on a cookie sheet and broil till brown. Watch carefully and stir once during the browning.

Shred or slice salad greens (lettuce or cabbage) and thinly slice then chop a small Vidalia onion and set aside.

Dressing:
In a mixing bowl combine dressing ingredients. Whisk with a wire whisk until well-blended and incorporated.Toss with the greens then sprinkle the noodle mix over the top.

This is a recipe that Nan got from an excellent Southern cook. Don’t think just because it is cheap and easy it is anything less than fantastic!
