1 cups cornmeal
cup self-rising flour
tsp salt
tsp baking soda
- cups chopped onion
1 tbsp sugar
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk (approx)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, using enough buttermilk to make stiff batter (approx 1 cup). Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot deep oil. Turn once to brown.
