2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
2 whole eggs, beaten
2 cans (flat size) crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt
1 pound vanilla wafers

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the butter and sugar until it is creamy. Add the eggs and mix. Add salt, vanilla, pineapple, and nuts.

Crush part of the vanilla wafers and spread in the bottom of a pan. Add part of the filling over wafer crumbs in the bottom of the pan. Put a layer of wafers over the filling. Put filling over the wafers. Put wafers on the top.

Chill for 24 hours. Serve with whipped cream.
