7 1/2 - 9 qts. popcorn

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. margarine (1 stick)
1/4 c. white corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar



Directions:
Directions:
Cook brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup, salt in a microwave safe bowl for 3-5 minutes or until it thickens. Add the butter flavoring, baking soda and cream of tartar. Pour over the popcorn and mix thoroughly. Peanuts can be added if desired.

The Kruse (my) family grew up loving this light caramel coated popcorn recipe it was frequently a Sunday night treat at our house. Now my kids love it and ask me to make it for holidays or parties with their friends.
