Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 large head of cabbage, chopped
1 onion, diced
2 peppers - 1green & 1 red
2 Tbsp Worcestershire
3 Tbsp red wine vinegar
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
salt & black pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Caramelized onion is an essential part of this delicious dish. Be sure to use low flame for frying the onion, so it doesn’t get too brown but caramelizes beautifully and stays soft.

The cooking time highly depends on how soft you prefer your cabbage. If you prefer it crispy, 10-15 minutes should be enough, but if you prefer it completely soft, you may need 30 minutes. Check and mix the cabbage every 5 minutes until it’s to your liking.
When the onion is done, add peppers, the cabbage and all other ingredients. Increase the heat to medium. Cook cabbage for 15 minutes for a crispy result. Increase the cooking time if you prefer softer cabbage. Stir every 5 minutes when cooking.Once the cabbage is to your liking, remove the skillet from the heat.

A delicious Southern recipe that was handed down from my Grandmother. This dish is a favorite of mine, as well as my Mom's.
