Personal Notes:
Mom often made this pie for holiday meals. One of my favorites. From Dad’s journal he writes ‘“ I got my daytime driving permit when I was 14-had to go to a service station in Bloomington, the owner was a deputy sheriff, he asked me to fill out a form and sign my name, the fee was a quarter. Dad had gotten me a new 1947 Willy’s 4-wheel drive pickup-that was the first thing I drove- when I turned 16 I got my regular license the same way”. In the photo are Sam and Anthony with dad, Robert with dad, Grandpa Roesch and Travis and Dad.
