3 cups warm water
1 egg
1/3 cup sugar
1 ½ tsp. salt
1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted butter or margarine
7-8 cups flour
2 tbsp yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together all ingredients except flour and yeast. ADD 3 cups flour (DO NOT STIR!) and sprinkle 2 Tbsp. of yeast on the flour. Stir.
Add 1 more cup of flour. Stir. Batter should be thick, but very sticky. Leave to sit for 15 minutes. Cover with clean cloth.
Add approximately 3-4 cups of flour. Stir. Dough should be a bit sticky.
NOTE: Too much flour causes buns to turn out heavy.

Oil top of dough, then allow to rise 15-20 minutes.
Punch down. Cover with clean cloth.
Let rise again 15-20 minutes.

Let rise again 15-20 minutes.
Shape buns. Let rise 20 minutes and bake at 350ºF
