2 cups brown sugar
2 cups butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4½ cups flour - add more if necessary
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream sugar, butter and eggs.
2. Add vanilla and mix
3. Combine flour, soda and tartar
4. Add to creamed mixture.
5. Make into balls. Flatten on cookie sheet with fork.
6. Add piece of cherry if desired.
7. Bake 350’F x 10-12 minutes.
