about 1lb., lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
about 1/2 cup chopped celery tops with leaves
1 to 2 TBS. chopped italian flat parsley
3 clove of garlic, chopped
1 to 2 TBS chopped fresh basil
4 to 5 14ounce cans tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes
1/4 cup red table wine
1 beef boullion cube
a pinch of nutmeg (this is my addition).
About 1 TBS., ground capers

Directions:
Directions:

Saute hamburger till meat is cooked through. Add onion and celery and cook until opaque. Drain off as much grease as possible. Add garlic basil and parsley and cook for only a couple of minutes. Add red wine, boullion cube, minced capers, nutmeg and all tomato products. Let simmer for an hour or so. If the sauce is too thick, add beef broth, for desired consistency. Salt and pepper to taste.Let me know if you have any questions😊
