1 good quart strawberries
¾ c. sugar
1½ c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. + baking soda
⅜ tsp. salt
1 c. heavy cream, lightly whipped

Directions:
Directions:
Wash strawberries, spraying lukewarm water on them. Cut in quarters then halves & place in 9"x13" pan. Add about ½ - 1 c. water. Sprinkle sugar over top of strawberries. Put in 400º oven for 8 - 10 minutes until strawberries start bubbling. Take out of oven. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt. Gently fold lightly whipped heavy cream into mixture. Don't over mix thick dough. Drop dumplings on top of hot strawberries & sprinkle more sugar on top. Bake 10 - 12 minutes.
