2-3lbs pears
4c water
1c sugar

Directions:

Allow 2-3lbs pears per quart. Peel, halve and core. Treat with ascorbic-acid color keeper solution. Prepare syrup of sugar and water and bring to a boil. Simmer fruit in syrup of r5 minutes. Fill jars with fruit an d syrup, leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Process pints 20 minutes, quarts 25 minutes in boiling-water canner.
