4qts water
3qts vinegar
1 1/2c sugar
1/3c non-iodized salt
2Tbsp pickling spice (tied in a square of cotton or nylon)

Directions:
Rinse well then blanch asparagus and cool in ice water. (Don't have to do this if you want a crunchier texture). Pack headfirst into quart jars with 2 cloves garlic and 1 1/4tsp dill seed. Cover with brine made by boiling pickling spice, salt, sugar, vinegar and water. Process for 10 minutes. Makes approx. 10 quarts.
NOTE: 25lbs sorted, measured to fit jars and cut to size makes approx. 12 quarts.
