1 cup crisco
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups plain flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Blend together the crisco, sugar, and eggs. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to cream mixture. Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in mixture of 2 Tablespoons white sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven 8-10 minutes. Remove to rack to cool. Note: Cookies puff when they begin to bake and then flatten out with crinkled tops.
