1 c (2 sticks) Margarine or butter
2 c sifted flour
2 TB cold water
1 c boiling water
1 tsp almond flavoring
3 eggs
2 c sifted powdered sugar
1 Tb margarine or butter
4 Tb cream
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cut 1/2 c margarine into 1 c flour until it resembles coarse meal. Add cold water and stir until it is well blended. Divide dough in half. Press each half into a 3x12 inch oblong on an ungreased baking sheet. Place boiling water and remaining 1/2 c margarine in a pan. Bring to a boil. Add almond flavoring and remove from heat. Stir in remaining 1 c flour. Add egg one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Spread this over oblongs. Bake at 425 degrees for about 35 minutes. Meanwhile, combine powder sugar, 1 Tb margarine, cream, vanilla, and salt. Beat until smooth. Frost cake while hot. Cut into slices and serve warm.
