3½ cups All purpose Four
1 cup sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
4 tsp. mild
2 tsp. vanilla
96 candy kisses
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 375º
In large mixing bowl combine all ingredients except for candy kisses.
Blend well at low speed
Shape into balls using a rounded tsp. for each
Roll balls in additional sugar
Place on ungreased cookie sheets
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes
Remove from oven and top each cookie immediately with a Candy Kiss pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge.
