1½ lb. ground beef
¾ c. quick oats (uncooked)
1 5-oz. can water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped
½ tsp. onion salt
½ tsp. garlic salt
¼ tsp. salt
1 tbsp. soy sauce
dash of liquid red pepper
1 egg
½ c. milk

Sauce
1 3½-oz. can crushed pineapple
1 c. finely packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. beef bouillon
½ c. vinegar
2 tsp. soy sauce
⅓ c. chopped green pepper

Meatballs: Combine all ingredients to form meat balls using 1 tbsp. per ball. Brown in large skillet turning frequently until browned, drain.

Sauce: Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add juice, bouillon, vinegar, and soy sauce. Bring to boil stirring constantly until clear and boil 1 minute. Stir in the pineapple and green peppers. Add sauce to meatballs in skills and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve with toothpicks.
