Prune, Peach, or Apricot:
2 lbs. dried fruit of choice
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
cinnamon to taste

Poppy Seed:
½ lb. poppy seeds, ground
½ c. sugar
3 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. butter, melted
¼ tsp. cinnamon-optional

Cherry:
1 c. sugar
6 tbsp. cornstarch
¼ tsp. salt
2 cans red sour cherries
1 tsp. red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. almond flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Fruit: Cook dried fruit in enough water to cover until tender. Drain, pit, and mash well. Add sugar and vanilla and mix well.

Poppy Seed: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over low heat about 5 minutes. Stir to prevent scorching. Cool.

Cherry: Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Add juice from cherries. Cook in saucepan and stir until thick. Add remaining ingredients.
