c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and corn meal. Beat until well mixed. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Add a third of the flour mix to the corn meal mixture. Add c. milk and beat well. Add another third of the flour mixture and another c. milk. Beat well. Add balance of the flour mix and remaining c. milk. beat well. Pour into greased 8 inch square pan or muffin pan and bake at 375 for about 20 minutes. Freezes well.
