½ c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. yellow corn meal
1 ½ c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 ½ c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and corn meal. Beat until well mixed. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Add a third of the flour mix to the corn meal mixture. Add ½ c. milk and beat well. Add another third of the flour mixture and another ½ c. milk. Beat well. Add balance of the flour mix and remaining ½ c. milk. beat well. Pour into greased 8 inch square pan or muffin pan and bake at 375º for about 20 minutes. Freezes well.
