1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter
1 beaten egg
3 eggs
1 10oz. box confectioner's sugar
1 8oz block of cream cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix cake mix, butter and 1 beaten egg well then mash into a greased 9x13x2 pan. In a mixer, combine 3 eggs, confectioner's sugar and cream cheese on low then medium until well blended. Pour on top of crust. Bake for 1 hour.

This is a staple dessert in Southern cooking having derived from Chess Pie. I believe that the recipe came from a cookbook that Nana had. I remember her making this when Cassie and I were kids and I believe it is still one of Cassie's favorite desserts.
